God's Word

Then Jesus said to His disciples, "Whoever wants to be My disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow Me.

For whoever wants to save their life, will lose it; but whoever loses their life for Me..., will find it.

What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?  Or what can anyone give (to God) in exchange for their soul?

For the Son of Man is going to come in His Father's glory with His angels, and then He will reward each person according to what they have done."                                                                                                                                            

In today's Scripture..., the great servant of Jesus, the Apostle Matthew; tells us of the time that Jesus told them about His upcoming death  (versus 21-22).  Amen.  Peter told Jesus that this would never happen to Jesus!  And Jesus rebuked Him!  Amen again!  For Jesus knew that it was not about glory in this life..., but eternal glory with God in Heaven!  Glory Hallelujah!  So Jesus began to teach His disciples the importance of turning away from a focus on this life; to follow Jesus..., and focus on everlasting life!  Glory to God!  Our Scripture begins with..., Then Jesus said to His disciples, "Whoever wants to be My disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow Me.  For whoever wants to save their life, will lose it; but whoever loses their life for Me..., will find it."  To follow Jesus; you must love Him more than yourself..., and be prepared to be persecuted in this life to have everlasting life with God!  Amen!  Our Word poses this question to us from Jesus, saying..., "What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?  Or what can anyone give (to God) in exchange for their soul?"  You can gain everything this world has to offer; but if you do not follow Jesus..., your soul will burn forever in hell!  And nothing on earth will be an acceptable sacrifice to God to save your soul!  Amen again!  And the Word of God concludes with Jesus proclaiming this truth to all..., "For the Son of Man is going to come in His Father's glory with His angels, and then He will reward each person according to what they have done."  Jesus is coming again to bring His followers eternal salvation; and for those who have not accepted Jesus..., they will receive eternal damnation!  For at that point, there is nothing any can do to alter their eternal destination!  You will be judged!  Hallelujah!  You must follow Jesus on this earth; to follow Jesus to the Kingdom of God!  Jesus is still teaching today!  You must turn away from a focus on this life..., to follow Jesus..., and focus on everlasting life!  Glory!  Amen.

Today..., Jesus is speaking to you!  Jesus wants you to follow Him... and focus on everlasting life!  Focusing on this life will keep you from focusing on what is important..., living your life for Jesus!  When you live your life for Jesus; and follow Him..., you are focused on your reward of eternal life with God!  Glory to God!  To follow Jesus; you must love Him more than yourself..., and be prepared to be persecuted in this life to have everlasting life with God!  Amen!  For you can gain everything this world has to offer; but if you do not follow Jesus..., your soul will burn forever in hell!  And nothing on earth will be an acceptable sacrifice to God to save your soul!  Amen again!  For this is the absolute truth; Jesus is coming again to bring His followers eternal salvation; and for those who have not accepted Jesus..., they will receive eternal damnation!  For at that point, there is nothing any can do to alter their eternal destination!  You will be judged!  Hallelujah!  You must follow Jesus on this earth; to follow Jesus to the Kingdom of God!  Jesus is still teaching today!  You must turn away from a focus on this life..., to follow Jesus..., and focus on everlasting life!  Glory!  So, pick up your cross..., and follow Jesus!  Amen.
