God's Word

They (Jesus disciples) came to the city of Capernaum.  When Jesus was in the house, he asked His disciples, "What were you arguing about on the road?"

But they kept quiet because on the way they had argued about who (among them) was the greatest.

Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve (disciples) and said, "Anyone who wants to be first, bust be the very last; and the servant of all."   

In today’s Scripture, the servant of Jesus, Mark, a close associate of the apostle Peter, has written a Gospel to mostly Gentile Christians to encourage Believers to persevere while suffering through persecution for their faith in Jesus.  And through this Gospel, Mark presents Jesus as the servant Messiah..., who came to serve and eventually offer Himself as a sacrifice for sinners.  Amen!  Jesus is a servant of God; and serves God by serving others!  Glory to God!  In our particular Scripture passage; Mark tells us of the time that Jesus emphasized to His followers the importance of being a servant!  Glory!  In the eyes of God, and in the teaching of Jesus; there is no greater person that you can be..., than being a servant!  Serve Jesus!  Amen!  Our Scripture begins with..., They (Jesus disciples) came to the city of Capernaum.  When Jesus was in the house, he asked His disciples, "What were you arguing about on the road?"  Jesus asks His followers..., what do you want to know?  Jesus will tell you!  Amen!  The Word says that Jesus followers would not answer Him..., "But they kept quiet because on the way they had argued about who (among them) was the greatest."  Jesus knows your heart; but He wants each of His followers to trust Him..., by speaking to Him with our concerns.  Jesus does not want His followers to be too ashamed to seek Him!  No matter what your question or issue is..., seek Jesus!  Hallelujah!  And the Word of God says..., Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve (disciples) and said, "Anyone who wants to be first, must be the very last; and the servant of all."  If any follower of Jesus wants to be first in His eyes; you must first humble yourself to be last in the world..., and be a servant!  The world may think that a servant is low; but in God's eyes a servant is very high!  The followers of Jesus become great in God's sight when they sincerely and without arrogance, look away from themselves to honor God by serving Jesus!  Glory Hallelujah!  Our Scripture is speaking to the followers of Jesus; our Scripture is speaking to Believers!  If you want to be great in the eyes of Jesus; serve Him by serving others!  If you want to be great in the eyes of God; serve Jesus by serving others!  Amen.
