God's Word

From inside the (great) fish Jonah prayed to the Lord his God.

He said:  "In my distress I called to the Lord, and He answered me.  From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help.., and You listened to my cry."

I said, "I have been banished from Your sight; yet I will look again toward your holy temple."

"When my life was ebbing away, I remembered you, Lord, and my prayer rose to you.

Those who cling to worthless idols turn away from God's love for them.

But I, with shouts of grateful praise, will sacrifice to You.  What I have vowed, I will make good.  I will say salvation comes from the Lord (God)."

And the Lord commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.                                                                                                                                           

In today's Scripture..., the great servant of God, an unknown author; tells us the story of Jonah, a reluctant servant that God has chosen to go the great city of Nineveh..., and for Jonah to preach against Nineveh because of the wickedness that God had seen the people of Nineveh commit.  Amen!  But instead of doing what God has told him to do; Jonah ran away from God!  Hallelujah!  But Jonah could never truly run away from God; for God is everywhere; and God sees you at all times!  Glory Hallelujah!  And God punished Jonah for disobeying Him; and running away from Him.  For when God tells you to do something; He expects you to do it!  Amen!  And today; God is speaking to someone through our Scriptures.  Just like Jonah, God has told you to do something..., and you are reluctant!  Amen again!  You are trying to run and hide from God; thinking that you will not have to do what God said.  But again, just like Jonah..., you cannot run away from God!  Tell the truth!  You cannot hide from God!  God knows where you are!  And that is the truth!  In our Scripture passage; Jonah has been punished for disobeying God and running away from God.  But hallelujah; Jonah understands his sin..., and repents to God!  And God, being his merciful Father, has mercy on Jonah; and forgives Him..., and ends Jonah's punishment.  Amen!  Merciful Father God!  Our Scripture begins with..., From inside the (great) fish Jonah prayed to the Lord his God. Today..., the Word of God is speaking to someone who God has given a command to; and for whatever reason, you have been reluctant to be obedient!  Amen!  If this is you..., the Word of God is speaking directly to you!  And you know it!  You have even turned away from God; hoping that God will leave you alone. But you cannot run from God; you cannot hide from God..., and God will not leave you alone!  Amen again!  For when God tells you to do something; He expects you to do it!  Amen!  God has told you to do something..., and you are reluctant!  Amen again!  You are trying to run and hide from God; thinking that you will not have to do what God said.  But you cannot!  God knows where you are!  And that is the truth!  You are being punished right now for disobeying God and running away from God.  You understand your sin..., and now you must repent to God!  And God will have mercy on you!  For God is a merciful Father!  No matter what you have done, and no matter what your punishment is..., seek God and repent!  Remember God is merciful..., seek Him!  Amen!  And when you repent to God for disobeying Him; you must also vow to Him that you will now obey Him!  Amen again!  Finally, after Jonah has repented his disobedience to God; and vowed to now be obedient to God, the Word of God proclaims..., "And the Lord commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land."  Once you repent your sins, and commit to God that you will be obedient..., God is faithful to be merciful to you!  Hallelujah!  God will always be faithful to you even when you are unfaithful to Him.  God is just; and wants to have a merciful and righteous relationship with you..., but when you have been disobedient, you have to seek God to fix it.  And to do that; you just have to repent, and then be obedient to God's command...and God will show you His mercy!  Amen!  For hallelujah and glory to God..., God is a merciful Father!  Amen.

Today..., our Scripture Guidance is for someone who God has given a command to; and you do not want to do it.  Amen!  God commands you to be obedient to Him; and you can try to run..., but you cannot hide!  God sees you and He will punish you for your disobedience.  But God is a merciful Father!  No matter what you have done, and no matter what your punishment is..., seek God and repent!  Remember God is merciful..., seek Him!  Amen!  When you repent to God for disobeying Him; you must also vow to Him that you will now obey Him!  Amen again!  And once you repent your sins, and commit to God that you will be obedient..., God is faithful to be merciful to you!  Hallelujah!  You just have to repent, and then be obedient to God's command..., and God will show you His mercy!  Amen!  For hallelujah and glory to God..., God is a merciful Father!  Amen.
